Local church mourns the passing of minister

POSTED : 05 Sep 2020

The South Caribbean Conference was plunged into mourning upon the passing of Pastor Kenneth Phillip on Tuesday 2nd, September 2020.

Pastor Phillip was last assigned to the Cunupia District. Several ministerial colleagues and Church workers took to social media to express their grief at his passing. Pastor Ian Morris shared that "one of my worst fears came through, and it pains like a million arrows to the heart".

Pastor Kenneth was once an active leader in the Morvant Adventist Church before attending the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC)  to be equipped for Advent Ministry. It was reported he was sick for a while and that several intercessory prayer vigils were held on his behalf.

The Conference's communication team joins with the Administrators in expressing condolences to his loved ones, Sis Debra Nelson-Phillip and the Nelson and Phillip families. Even at times like this, we are reminded of the Promises of God. Let us hold fast to our Heavenly Father in times like these.
