SCC shares condolences on the passing of long serving Minister
POSTED : 22 Jul 2022
The South Caribbean conference shares the following message on the passing of Pastor Samuel Lowe.
Message of Condolence
The Administration, Directors, Ministerial Workers, Staff and Constituency of the South Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, take this opportunity to extend condolence to Florence (Lydia), Shalanna, Shauna, other relatives and friends of Pastor Samuel Lowe.
There is no doubt that death leaves a sting in its wake and many times we struggle to deal with the void that this loss leaves. However, we have the assurance that when Jesus comes, ‘death itself will die’ and you will be reunited with your husband, father, brother, uncle, pastor, dean, friend and so many things that Pastor Lowe was to us.
Pastor Lowe gave thirty-two (32) years of dedicated service to the church, serving as a Ministerial Worker from 1990 to 2002 in the SCC pastoring in the Maraval, Blanchisseuse, Guaico/Tamana, Coalmine, Biche, Enterprise, Cunupia, Chin Chin, St Helena, Morvant and Shiloh Churches.
After which he functioned as the Assistant and then Dean of Men at the University of the Southern Caribbean from 2003 to 2017. These were cherished years that resonate with Revelation 14:13 which say, “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” as he was a mentor, father and friend to many of the students there. In 2018 Pastor Lowe returned to the SCC and served in the Cleveland Temple district and as leader of the North West Zone until his untimely passing.
While we would miss Pastor Lowe and his ministry greatly, we know that this loss will be felt even more keenly by his family. We pray that God will keep you and sustain you as you walk through this difficult crucible.
Know that you have the greatest comforter at your side, the Holy Spirit and we pray that God will grant you His peace as you continue on this journey. Stay faithful as soon we will be reunited on that great waking-up morning. May God Bless you abundantly.
