Eight ordained to gospel ministry
The auditorium of the University of the Southern Caribbean was packed to capacity as, friends, well wishers, church and family members, were in attendance to witness the ordination of eight ministers set apart for Holy Service.
Ministers ordained on Sabbath August 6, 2011:
- Pastor Linley Beckles
- Pastor Michael Charles
- Pastor Courtney Francois
- Pastor Neive George
- Pastor Glendon Gilead
- Pastor St Hugh Henry
- Pastor Charles Mahadeosingh
- Pastor Agustine Tchamba
Dr. Kern Tobias, President of the Caribbean Union, in admonishing the Pastors, reminded them of the reason for their call to the gospel ministry.
The Ministerial Chorale and Shepherdess Chorale certainly enhanced the afternoon’s proceedings with their renditions. While the men reassured the congregation that we need a “Few Good Men who will Pass the Faith Along”, the ladies sang of Our Wonderful, Merciful Saviour , the one that our hearts hunger for.
The prayer of dedication was offered by Dr. Eugene Daniel, immediate past President of the Caribbean Union Conference. He committed them into the hands of their Heavenly Father, while Pastor Andrew Farrel, Ministerial Secretary of the Caribbean Union gave the Charge. These pastors were welcomed into ministry by our newly elected President, Pastor Wayne Andrews and his wife, Sis Debra Andrews.
