Conference Session 2011 gets on the way
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Trinidad will host its 41st business session from Wednesday 3rd – Saturday 6th August, 2011 at the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC). The theme is “Sustained by Grace”. The purpose is to receive reports, to elect Administrators, Departmental Directors, an Executive Committee and trustees and in addition to transact any other business that may properly come before the delegates in session.
The proceedings will begin on Wednesday with a special Uniform Mini Parade at 5:30 p.m on the USC compound. The official opening will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Morning and evening devotions will begin at 8:00 a.m and 7:15 p.m respectively. These will precede the business sessions on Thursday and Friday. Dr Clifford Jones is the guest speaker for each of the devotional sessions which will be open to the public and will be streamed.
On Saturday the Church will host a spiritual revival when the Administrators and Directors for the new term 2011 – 2015 will be introduced to the public. Eight pastors will also be ordained. The Ordination Service is in recognition and confirmation of their call to pastoral ministry. These pastors will then be able to serve the public in any part of the world.
