Over 400 baptized in Good News crusade
On a spot that most Trinidadian associate with Carnival and feting, the Good News of salvation has seen over 400 persons baptized at two baptisms thus far.
The evangelist program aptly titled the Good News Gospel Explosion featured evangelist pastor
Claudius Morgan. From the very first night the expectancy was high. The first topic, ‘Port of Spain Under Attack, undoubtedly was captivating both to members and visitors alike as the topic would naturally appeal to all given the prevalence of bad news that is often heard around our country. From the first night the number of guests was high and soon there was a need for a second tent.
The five week crusade involved six local Adventist church districts with 18 churches taking place.
Over 220 persons were baptized in the first baptism and those baptized came from all walks of life and of all ages. There is no doubt that this evangelistic effort was blessed by God as there were challenges which only divine help could address.
The crusade is scheduled to be completed May 28,2011, having being carded and advertised for five weeks. This is pastor Morgan’s third evangelistic program in the twin island republic in four years. Previously, the Good News Gospel Explosion was held in South Trinidad with over 400 baptisms and in Scarborough, Tobago with over 600 persons.
