SCC Conference president completes PhD study
At the recently held graduation at the university campus in Berrien Springs Michigan, Dr. Tobias with presented his doctoral degree, having completed a course of study in Family Ministry. His thesis topic was 'Exploring the Impact of a Seminar on Marital Relationships in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Trinidad.'
In recounting several highlights of his program, Dr. Tobias stated it was an extremely rewarding program but was severely intensive, having several courses spread out over a few summers. As one of several administrative leaders from the Inter- America Division that began the program seven years ago, he shared several reflections over the challenge of balancing administrative work and study.
The speed reading course he completed early in his study was a great asset to cover the volume of information required, to be read and reviewed as part of his coursework. The intensive nature of the program is highlighted by the fact that he was the only one of the batch from the IAD that started the program to graduate this year.
